Digital Aid is a Monaco-based non-profit association founded in 2010 with the goal of bridging the digital divide by providing refurbished computers and IT equipment to schools, orphanages and charities for underprivileged children around the world.
By reusing discarded computers from businesses and organizations, Digital Aid gives children access to technology and educational opportunities they may not have had otherwise.
Numerous children globally are unable to access computers due to their restricted financial resources. We wanted to bridge this digital divide to inhibit socio-economic disparity and to champion the cause of child development and welfare.
It's a win-win situation. The donors of the equipment foster a greener reputation, while the recipients - the children, get an improved education quality. And we experience the joy of contributing to global change.
For over a decade, Digital Aid has worked to bridge the digital divide by providing computer access to disadvantaged youth globally.
The computers have been donated to disadvantaged youth in schools and organizations across Africa and Europe.
